At 51 years old, he is the oldest player in any major sport to achieve top scoring accolades. When not competing on the PBA tour, Walter Ray bowls on the Senior Tour. Walter Ray was inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame in 1995. In 2003 he became the first Professional Bowler to earn over $3 million.

Of Note: The 2009-10 tour was yet another unbelievable season for Walter Ray Williams, Jr. In 2010, Walter Ray received his seventh PBA Player of the Year Title, earning him the world record for most bowlers with that designation. He also holds the distinct honor of two consecutive Bowler of the Decade awards. He is ranked #2 of the 50 Greatest Players in PBA History. During the 2010-11 season, Williams Jr. finished sixth in the GEICO Shark Championship. He is ranked 33rd in earnings ($24,200) and 44th in average (214.23).

Personal: A six-time world horseshoe-pitching champion, Walter Ray was inducted into the National Horseshoe Pitching Association Hall of Fame in 1988. He carries the nickname “Deadeye” for his incredible accuracy on the lanes and in the pits. Walter Ray holds a 3-handicap on the golf course. He lives in Ocala, FL, with his wife Paige and daughter, Rebecca.
