2006-07 Highlights: It seems like every year that passes becomes another historical year for Walter Ray Williams, Jr. The 2006-07 season was as significant as any season of his storied career. He won his 42nd career PBA singles title, surpassing Earl Anthony as the all-time wins leader in PBA Tour history. Walter Ray has won at least one tour event in 14 consecutive seasons.

Of Note: Walter Ray was inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame in 1995. He has earned the PBA Player of the Year award six times in his illustrious career, and in 2003 he became the first Professional Bowler to earn over the $3 million. Walter Ray has won the “Best Bowler” ESPY Award six times.

Personal: A six-time world horseshoe-pitching champion, Walter Ray was inducted into the National Horseshoe Pitching Association Hall of Fame in 1988. He carries the nickname “Deadeye” for his incredible accuracy on the lanes and in the pits.
