2006-07 Highlights: Mika Koivuniemi took home his seventh career PBA Tour victory by winning the 2007 Sun City Classic. Mika cashed in 20 out of 21 events in the ’06-’07 season, and went 3-1 in his 2 TV appearances. He finished 19th in the PBA World Point Rankings, marking his 6th consecutive season finishing in the top 20.

Of Note: The 2003-04 PBA Player of the Year, Mika loves the spotlight and glare of the television lights. Over his career he has amassed a 28-14 (.667 winning percentage) on Tour, placing him 5th in PBA history in that category. He has rolled 21 career perfect games throughout seven different countries.

Personal: Mika was the first foreign-born bowler to win both the Masters and the US Open. Before joining the PBA in 1999, he was an established electrician. Mika currently resides in Heartland, MI with his wife Leena, and his two children, Ida and Lidia.
